I was absolutely appalled to hear about this decision by our mayor with almost no consultation with residents of Blainville or participants in the local or international equestrian community. This centre is widely recognized throughout Quebec and North America as one of the major equestrain centres and is one of the few places in Quebec where enthusiasts of all ages may participate in this wonderful sport. It is one of the reasons that many persons, myself included, moved to Blainville. I sincerely hope that this petition will be taken seriously by the mayor of Blainville and that we will be able to keep this major cultural centre. There are many other portential areas to build more soccer fields.
